In the Desert

We continue to be fascinated and mesmerized by the beauty of the mountains and desert in the Tucson area.

 As this year is the 40^th Anniversary of the Tucson Quilt Guild, ruby red was a frequent theme of the quilts.

     

   

   

We leave Arizona soon

Our visit in the Tucson area is quickly drawing to a close. We will miss:

• cool nights for cozy sleeping
• warm but not hot days for leisurely hiking
•  mountain views from the trails in Saguaro National Park
• sunny, blue skies with lots of vitamin D
• low humidity
• snow on the mountains when it rained in the valley
• sparkling stars in the cloudless night sky
• learning a new Garmin GPS for the car
• inexpensive, delicious, juicy fresh oranges at the truck on the corner
• twice a week park entertainment with Family Dollar cookies
• friendly fellow RVers in the Desert Trails park

Tonight we join Joyce and Alan for dinner at their casa and will introduce Joyce’s sister Cindy and husband Rick to Mexican Train Dominoes. 

 

On March 1 we begin traveling east through Texas, along the gulf coast and then south in Florida with many stops along the way before going north along the US east coast to home in NJ.
